About this project

STOP COVID-19 IN BENIN is an emergency project to meet urgent needs in order to stop the spread of the corona pandemic.
The project aims to intervene in the most remote areas of Benin (Villages and hamlets) especially for women, children and young people who do not have access to health care and whose health centers are non-existent.
We are asking for help in order to provide these underprivileged and vulnerable groups with the basic necessities to protect them from virus contamination while awaiting the major means to eradicate the pandemic.

Use of Proceeds

We want to use this process to come to the aid of health agencies which not only lack a health center in the most remote locations but also lack basic necessities to treat populations.
This process will allow us to help people who are left to make their own destiny without care and basic necessities.

Making communities in Benin more resilient

This project will be carried out in Benin more precisely in twelve (12) municipalities (Pilot municipalities ) namely: - the Municipality of Ouidah - the Municipality of Tori-Bossito - the Municipality of Avrankou - the Municipality of Dangbo - the Municipality of Abomey-Calavi - the Municipality of Allada - the Municipality of Bohicon - the Municipality of Abomey - the Municipality of Cotonou - the Municipality of Grand-Popo - the Municipality of Adjohoun - the Municipality of Bonou Covid 19 has shown us that communities are the first responders in any crisis. C’était en 2010 quand Béranger a rencontré la directrice du centre culturelle américain de l’époque lors d’une mobilisation pour un appel au volontariat , marquant le début de son parcours de leadership communautaire. Lui et ses pairs sont reconnaissant d’avoir eu l’opportunité de comprendre l’importance d’ une évolution des pensées pour les jeunes du Bénin. C’était primordial et catalytique pour eux de passer de la question “ Qu’est ce que le pays peut faire pour nous les jeunes” à “  Que puis-je apporter à mon pays, à ma communauté?”. C’est de là qu’ils ont organisé leur premier Global Youth Service Day mais ça ne fut pas facile car ça semblait absurde aux yeux des gens de sa communauté.
